What it is for
Lowers blood pressure and protects the kidneys in diabetes. It also lowers uric acid slightly.
How to take it
Take it once or twice a day as advised, with or without food.
Common side effects
Dizziness on standing.
High potassium in some people.
Call your doctor if
Pregnancy or planning one.
Swelling of the face, lips or tongue.
Take care
Not for use in pregnancy. Avoid potassium salt substitutes unless the doctor says so. Avoid regular painkillers like diclofenac or ibuprofen unless the doctor agrees.
