What it is for
Lowers blood sugar in type 2 diabetes and, at higher doses, helps weight loss.
How to take it
Injection once a day, at any time, under the skin. The dose is increased slowly.
Common side effects
Nausea and loose stools in the first weeks.
Call your doctor if
Severe belly pain going to the back.
A lump in the neck.
Take care
Not for people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2. Tell the doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
