What it is for
Loosens thick mucus in cough with phlegm.
How to take it
Take it after food, as advised. Drink plenty of warm fluids.
Common side effects
Mild stomach upset.
Call your doctor if
Cough for more than 3 weeks.
Blood in the phlegm.
High fever or breathlessness.
Take care
Stop it and see the doctor if you get a skin rash, blisters or mouth sores. Do not give it to a child under 2 years unless the doctor advises. Tell the doctor if you are pregnant.
