What it is for
A steroid used for asthma flares, allergies, arthritis, kidney and skin conditions.
How to take it
Take it after breakfast. Longer courses are reduced slowly.
Common side effects
- Higher blood sugar, more appetite, acidity, poor sleep.
Call your doctor if
- Very high sugars.
- Fever or infection.
- Black stools.
Take care
Check sugar more often if you have diabetes.
